Got in 4 miles today as scheduled. Felt OK the first 25 minutes, then got tired.
I changed up my intervals to 1 min run/1 min walk to see if I can feel stronger with shorter runs….did 6.4mph run for 1 minute and 4.4mph run for 1 minute. I liked this pace actually though after 25 minutes a few runs were less than 6.4mph when I was feeling I was too out of breath and needed to slow down. Went to the gym since again I chose to sleep in and needed free child care….hey, it works! My left calf and shin were tight today, I think I will call the sports med doc to talk to him about that and my tight as can be ankle. I don’t want to wake up one morning with Plantar Faciitis like I did in January might as well go in to talk to him.
On a downer I missed one run this week. NOT GOOD. I need to get the miles on my feet, so less than thrilled. Granted I have been busy this week, but also LAZY about getting up early if need be.
The good news is I am down 9 lbs since I started eating and juicing healthy. Yay me. I bought a bottle of Chocovine to try a glass when I am down another 5……Its Chocolate Wine. Been wanting to try and it was on sale. I am not drinking any alcohol right now….OK, I had a few on Halloween…but that is it for the last 3 weeks. I had also cut out coffee until yesterday…..and let me tell you it was the best cup of coffee I remember! Just trying to eliminate my overindulging and cravings for the bad stuff and develop better habits. Love my juice! As for the Chocovine, heard it was like Baileys, so thought that would be a nice little reward when I am down another 5. The weight loss is fantastic, but I feel good and have been sleeping great, so the nutrition I am giving my body is definitely helping.
