This summer has been fun, but out of hand. Not exercising, eating choices getting poorer and poorer….mainly snacking, back drinking diet sodas…….AND my body is screaming! Overweight, no energy and I get easily depressed about stuff.
SO, seeing as I have signed up IE paid for the 2013 Disney Princess Half Marathon, its time to get on it.
Thankfully my BFF told me she had started tracking her food on “Lose It” app. I had done that in the past and was wondering what I could do to get my eating control. Ta da……how about starting with this…tracking my intake of food and exercise.
SO, this past Monday I started my Princess Training…… Running, Cross Training and Diet.
On Monday rather than start with a run, I started with walking and stretching – Cross Training I seem to never have done in the past. I also started tracking my food in Lose It AND thinking about what I am putting in my body.
I am going to blog this journey of getting healthy and getting ready for the Princess Half….. my workouts will be on Daily Mile which is on this blog and occasionally will let you know how my health is doing.
So far so good this week – Logged all my food and exercise, stayed within my parameters. I have completed my 2 “short” runs this week of 30 minutes and based on my huffing and puffing, I have some work to do, but I do so enjoy it when I am doing it!
Just need to take it easy on the exercise to not injure myself, left leg and foot and ankle, tight…..but been working on my daily stretching.
While losing weight is a nice side, really I need to be healthier, meaning, not overeating, exercising, getting my rest, getting my stretching in AND a heart healthy diet.
Here we go again!
