Day 2 of our weekend was planned as such:
1. Magic Kingdom
2. Expo
3. PbRC Meet up for me
4. Have a GREAT DAY!
The temps in Orlando were rather hot – projected to get to 88. We were keeping an eye on the race day forecast because it appeared it would be hot and muggy and might possibly rain – boo, not fun in Satin Costume. Rather than waste time worrying, we headed to the Magic Kingdom after a quick breakfast in the Food Court at Port Orleans Riverside.
Princess Bonnie was now with us and joked how wonderful it would be to enjoy things in the Magic Kingdom she couldn’t do when the family was there – the fast rides and that she felt she was stuck in Fantasyland when she went with the kids. Ironically enough, we did my usual first MK ride – Peter Pan – yes, in Fantasyland. Hey, its a cool little ride that generates long waits, so I like to get it over with before the lines hit. Next we decided to get a fast pass for Ariel ride and check out dueling Dumbos and perhaps look at the available snacks in the Circus Tent. It was a sunny gorgeous day.

After rides at the park, we hit the expo around 5pm. We had heard reports of long lines to pick up official T-Shirt bad and to get into the official merchandise tent. It really wasn’t too bad this time though they were totally out of my size at the Sparkle Skirt booth bummer as I wanted to purchase 2 skirts.
While Wendy and Bonnie hit the merchandise booth , Amy and I wandered and came across Olympian Jeff Galloway at the Run Disney Booth. He was so reassuring to me – totally great person. I joined a Galloway group in 1999 to train for the Atlanta half.
We hit the Polynesian for a meet up with a PrRC Facebook running group which was AWESOME – seriously, some truly fab people to meet in person that I had been in contact with via Facebook.. Wendy and I decided to just enjoy a salad their and go back to the room for some relaxation. We were too tired to head back to Magic Kingdom. We had extra magic hours the next morning so time to get some sleep.
Great day!
