The race ended with us heading back to Port Orleans for breakfast and showers.
We had Lunch reservations at Le Cellier in Canada’s Pavilion at Epcot where we met up with Jenn from Pacebook Running Club who would be joining us. We celebrated with Steaks and Lobster Salad, Canada’s Finest Beers and wines – another fun opportunity to share the moment with friends old and new.
After lunch we headed to the Front gate of Epcot to pick up our Sneak Peak Passes to the movie “Oz, The Great and Powerful“. Amy of Longing4thesea and I had read on Disney Parks blog an announcement where there would be a screening for the movie the afternoon of the race at Epcot. We emailed in to see if we could score some tickets for our group. We both were invited with 4 passes each – so we had enough tickets for our Princess Posse and could invite 4 more people. I invited Jenn from Pacebook Running Club who had joined us for lunch and Erin of For the Love of Disney Running both of them had tried to get tickets and didn’t make the cut, I tell you, you have to be fast to respond to these things to get in. Amy invited AmyV and her daughter from dailymile and Disboards who was celebrating her daughter’s birthday that weekend…what a great way to celebrate!
We got our passes and our special bracelets for admission. We saw Goofy standing alone on our way to the movie and had our picture made with him.
We walked by the Magical Garden of Oz now open, and made our way to the World Showplace next to Canada. We walked in to a beautiful room decorated for the occasion. As we entered the theater, they were taking away our cameras, phones or any device holding a battery.

We surrendered our communication and photo devices, walked through a very thorough bag check and metal detector and we in the screening room where we were treated to “Glinda the Good” White Chocolate covered popcorn and some “Oz The Powerful Punch”….it was yummy passion fruit and a great way to rehydrate after the race.
We were warmed up with some Disney Trivia….we were in the back close to the bathrooms and water…all that hydration you know, and they did a great job of getting to all areas of the crowd, though sadly we did not win a Movie T-shirt or the special 3D glasses.

Before the movie started, we were also treated to previews for upcoming Disney Movies “Monster’s University”,“Iron Man 3,” and “The Lone Ranger” – all looked great will see them all!
The Oz movie is a back story of the original Judy Garland classic on how the Wizard ended up at Oz in the role he served and well why he was behind that curtain. It also told about how the witches ended up so wicked and good. I love how like the original movie, it started out in Black and White and Oz appears in color. It had GREAT 3D effects and was a fun movie. Heck, we had been up since 2:30am and didn’t nod off. It is a great movie for the whole family, lots of action…We all liked it.
The movie opens in theaters today, if you are a fan of Oz, go see it! The flying monkeys and the wickedness can be a little scary for smaller kids. I will go see it again with the family including my brave princess who is 6. When leaving the theater we were given a little goody bag with you guessed it “Bubbles”! Now we can travel in style like Glinda!
We finished up the night by heading to Test Track and did single rider, this time, it was walk on….so we rode it 2 times!
