This fun July 4th Atlanta tradition is crowd support from start to end! There are bands along the way and friendly spectators, dare I say, you might get a free beer or 2 if you are looking for that as well.
If you know me, you know I am no fan of hills…I use my ailments as my excuse…but love this one. The course meanders down Peachtree Road…ok the main one, not one of the 500 Peachtree streets in town….from Buckhead to Midtown. Start at Lenox Square, end up at Piedmont Park – nice wide course……. the street is closed to traffic and all lanes open to runners. The Atlanta Track Club puts on an amazing event! You will not find better organization for fun than this race IMO.
