Remind me to get the my princesses’ Indiana Jones whip and stow it in the SPIbelt the next time I am on the trail at the river! (Doesn’t every family have a whip belonging to their daughter?)
This guy was enjoying the weather today….in the middle of the trail. About 3 feet long, he was black with some markings, an Eastern King Snake I believe.
While this kind of snake eats the bad snakes, I shutter to think of what else was lurking around!
In the words of our family’s favorite archaeologist…. “SNAKES…….I HATE SNAKES!”
AND here is a coincidence, this past weekend when I was picking up the Indiana Jones Whip owner from my Best Cousin Ever and Practically Perfect in Every Way nanny for the night I saw Sting – did you know he winked at me?….. we were talking about the paths and trails around this area and how we know there are snakes all around yet we never saw them….Saw this guy on my training run Tuesday – I dub him Reggie – AND Monday at preschool down by the river in the parking lot we saw one too.
You never know what you will see out there!
