I dream of one day staying at the Polynesian Resort at Walt Disney World – a dream is indeed a wish. I mean how cool is a volcano water slide?

For those with a current reservation or planning a trip to the Polynesian Resort, my helpful Disney Travel Partner Jennifer Greene at Destinations in Florida has given me an update that the resort going under a makeover and Phase 1 has started.
Polynesian Beach and Sunset Point – access to the east portion of the beach, near the Transportation and Ticket Center, as well as Sunset Point will be unavailable due to a scheduled refurbishment. However, all other amenities will not be affected. Some rooms in certain room categories in impacted buildings have been taken off the market during the renovation period.
Thanks for the graphic and update Jenn! Good to hear the Volcano Slide is still good to go I can continue my dream of sliding into that sweet pool with a castle view.

That pool is the best pool EVER. We LOVED staying there last year. Secretly hoping they really proceed with DVC there b/c I’m all over it if they do.
