I am really looking forward to the runDisney Wine and Dine Half Marathon with almost all the DisBroads and almost all the DisBroad groupies!
I love watching race video’s to keep me inspired in my training. If you like them too; check out DisBroad Patty’s post today – she shared an awesome Dumbo Double Dare Race Video from last weekend. I am also collecting some fabulous Disneyland Half Weekend recaps and reports and will be sure to share those too.
What keeps you motivated in your training? I have 2 months and can always use help in that department…though with this new race course, the fall temps returning and running with my BRF’s, shouldn’t be too hard.

I always get excited and motivated during the last couple of months, crunch time. Staying motivated during early training is my biggest issue. Plus it helps I scheduled another half 2 weeks before this one to keep me going. I am so excited for this race. Good company, a good run, the Christmas party, a night race, a new medal, it’s going to be the bomb dot com.

I know, how can this race NOT rock!

I did one night race and I hated it. My night vision isn’t great. I was so terrified of tripping and falling that I looked down the whole time and didn’t see anything else.
I try to keep the races coming to keep myself motivated. As long as I have a plan to follow, most of the time I drag myself out to do it. This year I started a marble jar to keep track of mileage. Each week I add it up and drop the appropriate number of marbles in the jar. It’s the same thing I do in the classroom to encourage good behavior, so it’s strangely childish, but I find myself really wanting to fill that jar!

LOVE the marbles Idea. Must incorporate!

So so excited for Wine & Dine and getting to run with the #DisBroads. I am totally slacking on training though, have only got up to six miles so far. Hoping the ick leaves me soon so I can start back on serious training. Or at least better than what I have been doing.
Julie Franklin says
Yeah on same page with you……but I know one thing…it will be slow but fun!
