So yesterday I got this in Mini Me’s papers….
Did you catch this…..
My reaction?
AND
With no Fastpass available, I am running NOT walking to do what I can to keep those bugs out of our hair.
My friend KJ at Plus the Magic shared a hysterical blog post with me to deal with it in humor should this pox fall upon our house. Its from “Bitchin Sisters” entitled “LICE IS A FOUR LETTER WORD”. WARNING: Its full of four letter words, if you don’t like that kind of humor move along.
I shared it on Facebook last night on my personal page and my friend Catherine summed it up:
Julie, I appreciate that you warned us about the crudeness of the article. But when (and inevitably, it’s when, not if) our family is hit by lice, that article will be mild compared to my sailor talk with every comb out and linen washing.
Truer Words Catherine, Truer Words.
Have you dealt with these critters? How did you cope?

Yikes! I’m sorry! We had an infestation that just wouldn’t go away at our school a few years ago. I was teaching pre-k at the time and it seemed like just when we thought it was done, it would crop up with another kid. It didn’t help that my aide was paranoid and was convinced that every student who touched his head had it. The principal ultimately noticed that a few related families with kids in different grades seemed to keep presenting with it. They’d visit each other and pass it back and forth. Once one child borrows another’s jacket or lays on the floor at home, or if the linens and towels aren’t washed once the lice are found, that’s all it takes. Another thing we noticed was the girls with longer hair who never wore it tied up. That’s a lice highway. It’s crazy how aggressive you need to be. I’m sorry this is happening at your school. Good luck!

DUDE…I didn’t have a pony tail today in her hair. I am doomed. Thanks for the words though. Yeah, I am not wanting to deal with this. We have So.Much.Plush!
