Disclosure: I was provided medals for review of the Jost Running race series. All opinions are my own.
It was virtual race time again the end of September, whew, where does the time go – I am late in this update. Please forgive me. This is the second of a 3 part review on the medals and races of Virtual Race Company Jost Running. My August race recap is here and I my medal review of August is here.
My friends at Jost Runner set up the Soaring Race series in September and again they did not disappoint. Sign up is super easy online via their website. Portions of Septembers race fees benefited the ALS Association.
Isn’t that cute. Everyone who runs a Jost Running race gets their own personalized bib via email. In September we soared off into the clouds.
I took my race super slow since I have been nursing some issues in the ankle. It’s nice to run the race on my own schedule again and to pick my location rather than get up and drive somewhere to a race. Not that there is anything wrong with running among a pack with friends, but the introvert in me, yes I do have that side, likes running alone sometimes. Virtual races give me that outlet.
I got my medal in the mail last week and it was gorgeous. They really know now to design a medal; its sparkly and as wide as my runDisney Princess Half Medals. The glittery paint sure sets it apart and I do believe they are setting the bar for virtual race medals. The ribbon for your neck this month had “Jost Running Soaring 2013” printed on it and it Velcros open.
They always offer a medal for 5k/10k runners and have a different medal for Half Marathon and Marathon distances. The sent me both for review. BLING, its fabulous! Being in training for runDisney’s Wine & Dine Half and Glass Slipper Challenge, these medals area a fun way to add a little sumpin’ sumpin’ to your long training runs. Its hard to skip one when you have paid for a race, even a virtual one. Once you are done, you go to the Jost website and enter your times.
Look at these pretties…
Really the quality of these medals is the same as any large race I have seen. Substantial in size and weight and just dazzling in appearance! My friends at Jost Running are runners and they know the Bling people want and always deliver!
Again two big thumbs up from me!
I have already gotten my bib for October’s Octoberfest races. Portions of the race fees for October will benefit the Midwest Food Bank.
And uh, check out these medals….
Uh huh, Bottle Opener Medals….how cool is that! Portions of race fees for the October series will benefit the Midwest Food Bank. Head over to Jost Running to sign up and get your bling!
You think they had me in mind when they planned this?
Yeah, probably not – but I do love Octoberfests since I am of German Ancestry.
Great job Jost Running! Thanks for the opportunity to spread the word about your fabulous race series and medals. Keep up with Jost Running on Facebook here too for the latest news and to see the bling.

Digging those medals. I love the beer openers- even though I don’t drink beer. It’s an old bartender thing. 😉
