With my German themed runDisney Wine & Dine Half outfit you know I love me some fun Oktoberfest action.
This year, I participated in the Jost Runnning Virtual Race Series for October…the Oktoberfest 10k. The friendly folks at Jost won me over to the world of virutal racing back in September with their cute and shiny medals….really if you like bling, check them out. Disclosure, I was provided medals and race entry in exchange for review, but know all opinions expressed are mine.
I printed out my bib and went on my last Wine and Dine half training long run as part of the Oktoberfest fun.
It was a gorgeous day when I got my 10 miles in…..granted they were very slow, but the sun was shining and the sky was blue and fall was in the air. I did my run along the river on a path and it was just so serene and relaxing. I even got a nice glimpse of an Blue Heron!
Upon finishing my run, I was extra happy knowing my bling would be coming soon…it was a slow run and not the best, but I got it done. My medal arrived this week and holy cow…I was blown away! Look how big it is AND it has a bottle opener. Let me tell you its sparkly and heavy too. I knew from the photos it would be a cool medal, but completely surpassed my expectations.
Here are both the 5k/10k and the Half/Full Medals next to one of my runDisney Princess Medals. I think my Oktoberfest medal weighs more…..definitely the same caliber of quality as the Princess Medal. My photos do not do justice to these beauties.
They put glitter in the Jost Running medals and yes indeed, do they sparkle! I participated and reviewed the August series here and September series here. The medals and ease of logging times have impressed and introduced me to appreciating a new way of earning your bling…..the virtual race.
If you are into race bling, I urge you to keep an eye on the Jost Running series….their medals are amazing and they also contribute a portion of each race registration to a charity. You can keep up with the new medals and races on the Jost Running Facebook Page. They have posted the November “Run Your Mass Off” race series.
Thanks to the team at Jost for giving me the opportunity to review their medals and races. Cheers to you!
