Its been with complete sadness my little princess had been growing up and out of Disney Junior, after all she is 7 now. BUT the funny thing about mini me is how much she is hanging on to “her shows” as if she knows she if growing up. Sigh…..
A really cute new show is coming round these parts pardner. “Sherriff Callies Wild West” is available starting November 24th for verified viewers on WATCHDisneyJunior.com and the WATCH Disney Junior app for smartphones and tablets. The show is set to air on Disney Junior in early 2014.
This animated series is the the first western for preschoolers (age 2-7). It stars the voice talent of one of my favorites, Mandy Moore (Disney’s “Tangled”) as the voice of Callie, a kitty cat sheriff who, along with her deputy woodpecker Peck and fun-loving cactus sidekick Toby, watch over the frontier town of Nice and Friendly Corners, ensuring that it remains the friendliest town in the West.
I showed mini me age seven the following clip and previewfrom DisneyABCVideo here and she said it looked funny. “I like her pink cowgirl hat and her pretty blue horse”. “The songs sound funny.” “Can I watch it now?” It was fun to see she was still interested at her ripe old age and this looks like a show I could totally watch along and laugh with. I do believe it never too late to learn about being friendly now is it.
I absolutely love the idea of Prarie Dog Trio; the Greek Chorus. Music is really such a fun way to drive home the messages in these cartoons. From the preview, mini me wanted to watch more and said she can’t wait to watch a whole episode. THAT made me smile since I am not ready to give up Disney Junior with my only child JUST YET.
How does this look to you? Do you think your little one is ready for a Kitty Western like we are?
