For a couple months runDisney and New Balance Shoes have been teasing us and slowing revealing the new 2014 New Balance runDisney Style Shoes. I saw a sneak peak back at the On The Road To Disney Parks Atlanta Meet Up back in November.
These popular shoes have only been available at runDisney Race Expos and they tend to go pretty quickly.
With the Walt Disney World Full Marathon approaching runDisney-o-philes have been wondering what exactly they look like and what would be available at the next race. Running.competitor.com has an exclusive reveal today with photos off all the shoes and announced that all four shoes WILL be available at the expo for WDW Marathon January 8-12. There are the 2 Stability shoes : Sorcerer Mickey and Pink Minnie priced at $125 per running.competitor.com along with 2 Neutral Shoes: Cinderella and Goofy priced at $120 (again pricing from running.competitor.com). Kids shoes are also available in the Mickey Minnie styles priced around $72 (Kids price is based on Disney Parks Blog Post) . See all the shoes and go take a look here at running.competitor.com or on the Disney Parks Blog HERE for a video preview! They are all in the words of James Earl Jones, “Totes Adorbs”.
Newbie runDisney runners interested in shoes, be warned; in the past the line to purchase the shoes in the New Balance Booth at race expos has been as long as a one hour wait and the shoes have typically sold out. That being said, last year at the Princess Half Expo, we went later in the day so the crowds were not horrible. I walked right in the New Balance booth and asked if they had any shoes, they did, just not in my size. Also at the Wine and Dine Half expo a friend got shoes the last day of the expo so all hope is not lost. HOWEVER, these are new models and people are excited about them, so they will go fast I predict and will show up up eBay for overinflated prices.
How do you get your shoes and ….you want a FASTPASS to your shoes?
GOOD NEWS, they will be taking reservations for times to visit the New Balance Booth to avoid waiting in line and to help manage crowds at the very busy WDW Marathon Weekend Health and Fitness Expo.
Look for these signs as you head into the Expo…. and follow them to Champions Stadium to reserve your time to try on your perfect “glass slipper”, errr…New Balance shoes.

For complete info on how to make a your shoe purchase reservation, check out Disney Parks Blog Here.
If you want more than one pair limit of 4 adult shoes and 2 kids shoes per person.
It appears the ONLY way you can get your runDisney New Balance shoes is by utilizing the reservation system. There will be limited shoes available so my advice get there EARLY the first day to make your reservation AND be prepared to wait in line.
I think all the shoes are adorable. I would be happy with any of them! For running I would need the stability, but I would love the Neutrals for my everyday wear.
What do you think of the new runDisney New Balance shoes…got any favorites?

Any idea if these will be available at the Twilight Tower of Terror 10 miler in October? Or are they only at marathons and halfs? I would love to get a pair for me (and my kids) but want to sign up for a race that will have them.

They should be at the TOT Expo too! keep an eye on the New Balance webpage and Twitter…. I will also try to keep updated as I really want to run this race too!

Thanks so much for your response! I am a (very) new runner and will be training in earnest for the TOT. Hopefully the Alabama weather will work in my favor for a change. Going now to follow NB on twitter and FB as well as checking their webpage regularly!

I feel terrible – I am not big on the new designs. They are a bit too girly for me. I would have rather have the Goofy pair. Good news is I will not be fighting the lines this year and I will hope for new designs next year that are more my style.
Good luck to all that are trying!

I am really shaking my head over this. I need a new pair of shoes. If I’m going to get them anyway, I figured wait and get the Disney ones, but if it’s going to be a hassle…and my guess is even with the reservations, there will be long lines, it may not be worth it. I’m not so in love that I can’t pass, but the blue ones are cute.

I will just see how I feel PHM weekend. I generally don’t like the expo early its crowded with princesses shopping…..so if I get a pair great, if not sad, but I get more less crowded park time.

The RunDisney blogpost says “Prices range from $72 to $125 depending on the model and design of the shoe, and all Guests attending the Expo may purchase up to four shoe liners, four adult shoes and two kid shoes.” regarding the limit!

Thanks Lauren.. breaking news! Thankfully they are limited the shoes so they all don’t go to ebay ers. guessing the kids are $72! So exciting for this FastPass to your shoes.

Love these. In my head I keep thinking how adorbs E and I would look in matching Minnie shoes and have planned to do that in February if I luck out. But at the same time, I’m not sure I will wait in line to do it. Love the ribbon detail on the Cinderella shoe. All are super cute.
