Janice at The Adult Side of Disney posted this morning a change to procedure for entering Magic Kingdom park at Rope Drop. Rope Drop is when the park officially opens for guests for the day. The popularity of Frozen’s Anna and Elsa, has created a frenzy, a mad dash to get in line. I have heard reports of people getting knocked down and ending up on a stretcher in their quest to get a photo with these princesses. You can read the new procedure here at The Adult Side of Disney.
While this may seem extreme, guest safety is important and Disney is doing what they can to ensure guests don’t get hurt in the parks. The good news is hey you don’t have to to train to meet the princesses:
Don’t want to wait in line to see the popular duo? Remember Anna and Elsa are in the new Festival of Fantasy Parade daily at Magic Kingdom. This summer you can also catch the Frozen Summer Fun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios featuring the Arendelle’s royalty, Kristoff and Olaf including a royal procession, Olafs first summer vacation, fireworks, dance party and more. You can read about it here.
Would you wait over 2 hours to see Anna and Elsa or ANY character at Walt Disney Parks? What to you think of this new procedure?
