runDisney is finally officially announcing a Star Wars Race and I am talking a half marathon, not a pod race.

Rumors are finally now fact! Twitter has confirmed the dates:
Sadly I will have to sit this one, today will be drowning my sorrows in a cantina at Mos Eisley since its the week after Marathon Weekend and well I can’t do back to back Disney Trips. Stay tuned folks for sign up info and location.

I’m bummed by the time line of this one, too. If it had been a fall race, I’d be all over it but I’ve already committed to running the Disney world marathon and the glass slipper challenge with two different sets of friends. I couldn’t add in the extra travel and short turnaround.
Well I am sure it will be here in 2016 if we want to go for it then! I wish they gave more notice though.
