This summer I realized it was time for a panty overhaul. When it comes to undies, I tend to find something I like and buy in bulk. Oh and I don’t mind paying a premium for my panties so long as comfy, lasting, and pretty looking. My last go round is wearing out and I have been looking for an alternative especially after my Princess Half Marathon panty chaffing incident last February. Reminder, do NOT wear unknown clothing item first time come race day. The folks at Knock out!© Panties offered to send me panties to review at no charge and I jumped on the chance as its panty time in my house.
A little background on my panty style, yeah never thought I would be posting this but here goes. I am, you know middle aged and what some call fluffy- lets say I need to loose a few pounds. Yes, there is a little more junk in my trunk that I like – working on it though. I prefer briefs but not granny panties and well thongs are not my thing….no judging, just been years since I have been comfy in them.
From Knock out! Panties Angela Newman, Founder and CEO:
They say necessity is the mother of invention. As a former career gal and now mother of three, I had a necessity. I wanted some sexy, comfortable underwear that had performance built in. That little something extra for sweat, spots and little leaks that can occur during exercise or just because.
I had plenty of “pretty” panties, but they all suffered from what I call “Panty Failure.” Women deserve better than the thin cotton liner, the synthetic liner or the dreaded panty liner (clear evidence of panty failure). If we can see video on our phones, why can’t technology help us with our panties? I decided if I could not find what I needed then other women could not either.
I would like to say for me as a serial chaffer:
Panty Liner + Running = Chaffing
I was so happy to try a MADE IN THE USA product, please y’all Buy American! I was asked what I wanted to try and here are my picks:
Yeah, I will not post pics of me in the underwear, I just was raised you don’t go flashing your panties to the public and well lets say I am not all slim and toned like these models but I gotta say, they do look fab on – Mr RWR liked the look too.
The fabric is lightweight, comfy material and the cotton crotch is pretty unique. Its absorbent, but not heavy or scratchy – I have no idea how it can do as advertised, but it does. Well constructed and all items withstood my wear quite well. I ran in the non lacy panties short distance and they were great – stayed in place and didn’t notice they were there. The chaffing question will be answered as I begin the ramp up again this week on mileage, stay tuned!
How did each of MY items workout for me? Here ya go:
Workout Warriors No Sweat Bra – My Grade A+:
OK, I am a D cup and well, I will never workout in this bra – not enough support….hear me out though. For wearing around the house, super comfy and just enough support. I thought it looked small but my girls fit in with no spillover – always a plus. It is also marketed as a SLEEP bra, something we bigger girls sometimes need. I slept in it, did not sweat, not too tight and totally comfortable. I think for less endowed ladies this would be a great workout bra for low impact activities, light support comfy material that breathes. LOVED THIS BRA, despite my initial reaction a VERY close second favorite of the products I tried.
Smart Panties Bikini – My Grade A-:
I think the minus in my grade is more related to my body. They fit, but I am not into bikini style right now, a little too much flab on me. I did however run a short distance in them and they worked great, actually perfectly on the sweat factor too. For everyday wear, I was a little conscious of my big bootie. Of the products tried, my least favorite which I relate to my panty style preference, but I think these are great for running for sure and I will wear them for that.
Smart Panties Brief– My Grade A
Full coverage, comfortable and functional without looking too granny like. Cool material that breathes too. I preferred these to the Bikini, but that is me. Great for exercise or everyday wear. Nice brief, without looking SO white granny panty.
Smart Panties Lacy Brief – Grade A+:
My favorite of the panties. SO forgiving on tummy when you need a little expansion for bloat. Pretty too, my husband loves these on me, nice bonus. The lace all the way around, PERFECT design! Great for everyday wear.
The downside to Knock out panties, none in my opinion. Though I will add are NOT the cheapest out there. Keep in mind they are crafted in the USA and supporting jobs HERE. I applaud that plus the fabrics and materials are so unique, I can see them being a premium product – and they are very well constructed.
I have been having some hot flash issues with my age and would love to try the sleepwear! Who can sleep when you are hot you know?
Thanks so much to Knock out Panties for letting me try their awesome product! If you are looking for something new to try out, check them out at www.knockoutpanties.com and keep up with the latest via @KnockoutPanties on Twitter.

TMI post ahead!!
I tend to go commando when I run though, as I age even more I am finding that an occasional panty liner or something is required and I’ll wear undies then…usually something cotton and cheap 🙂
These look REALLY comfy, and I’d be seriously curious how the sleepwear works on account of no matter how little I wear to bed these days I can, on the not terribly rare night, wake up drenched in sweat (like, running in Florida in July drenched!)
My only problem is that if my panties are *too* comfy I can forget they’re on..which can be an issue sometimes 🙂

LOL at the issue with comfy. Yeah, life never gets dull! I have to say on the bra, totally breathable….. and NO sweat issues whatsoever. I have a cotton sleep bra I wear on occasion that I stopped wearing as I always woke up in a sweat. Go figure. I am buying another bra AND asking for pj’s for my birthday or xmas!
