You might have noticed that lately its been little quiet around here. Well, the last 4 months I have been busy: 1 full marathon, 3 half marathons and 2 10ks. Quite frankly I need a little break from getting up early and going to run races. Don’t get me wrong, they have been a blast, but I am ready to change it up the next few months. I was excited to see a 10k I can run on my own schedule, Gone For a Run’s Log Off Shut Up Go Run 10k Virtual Race .
Its super easy to run a virtual. You pick the time you run within the race parameters and then you run your race or interval or walk or jog whether you are outside on the road, trail or treadmill. Once complete, log on and share your time. Its a fabulous way to reward yourself for getting up to a certain distance or just getting out there and getting the run done. I live in Atlanta a very active running community, but for those who are in an area with few race choices, its nice to be able to earn some bling without driving to another state or town.
With the Gone For a Run Log Off Shut Down Go Run 10k you get some fun swag. A shirt, medal, race bib ( a real one not a print out on our printer) , and a magnet.
