No Jedi mind trip, The Walt Disney Company Chairman and CEO Bob Iger announced today at the D23 2015 Expo in Anaheim, the biggest park expansion in history is coming to BOTH US PARKS. YES, A Star Wars Themed Land will be added to Disneyland in Anaheim AND at Disney’s Hollywood Studio’s in Orlando. Star Wars will come to life in two parks with an expansion in both Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood studios 14 acres each! Prepared to be transported to a never before seen planet and a remote trading port as Star Wars characters come to life.

Iger commented as he announced the plans to the 7500 D23 Audience, “These new lands at Disneyland and Walt Disney World will transport guests to a whole new Star Wars planet, including an epic Star Wars adventure that puts you in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance” HOW COOL IS THIS.

Two signature attractions you will be able to experience:
- Take control of the Millennium Falcon on a customized secret mission.
- An Epic Star Wars adventure that puts guests in the middle of a climactic battle.
While this expansion has been among the Disney rumor mill for a while, and only recently fueled with the purchase of property in Anaheim and closing of several attractions in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, its fabulous to read how huge this expansion will be and it is now confirmed to be coming to a galaxy near you soon!
