What is going on in “the world?”. Below is some Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom news for March 7th.
New! Diamond Horseshoe Open for Table Service Lunch and Dinner:
The Diamond Horseshoe will serve lunch and dinner daily beginning March 13 and continuing through May 30. This table-service meal is an all-you- care-to- enjoy saloon feast. It begins with a Frontier Salad, a tasty mix of greens, tomatoes, roasted corn, cornbread croutons and a house-made chipotle-ranch dressing. There’s also cornbread for the table to share. For your main course, choose from BBQ pulled turkey served over cornbread, spit-roasted ham served with country beans or stewed beef served with mashed potatoes.
Each entrée is served with a side of seasonal veggies and for dessert, choose from an apple tart or the Campfire Brownie—rich chocolate brownie on a graham cracker crust, topped with toasted marshmallow. Soft drinks, tea, coffee and milk are included.
Pricing is $33 plus tax for adults; $19 plus tax, for children ages 3-9 years. For reservations, Guests may call 407- WDW- DINE.
New! ‘Zootopia’ Characters Coming to Magic Kingdom:
Beginning this spring, Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps will stop by Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. These party animals will be joining the other guests in the “Move It! Shake It! Dance and Play It!” Street Party at Magic Kingdom Park.
Update! Same-Day Dining Reservations Continue at Jungle Skipper Canteen:
Same-day reservations are still being accepted at Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom Park. In mid-February, Disney began testing the same-day reservations concept. It was originally scheduled to end on Feb. 27, but the test is still ongoing at this time. Guests will be able to make reservations for either lunch or dinner that same day by visiting jungleskippercanteen.com or calling 407-993-1933.
Reminder! Temporary Changes to Parades and Shows:
Due to construction work, some Magic Kingdom entertainment offerings will be impacted certain dates throughout February and March. The Main Street Trolley Show and Move it! Shake it! Dance and Play it! will be adjusted March 9, 11 and 15. On these dates, the Trolley Show will use the Main Street fire truck and Move it! Shake it! Dance and Play it! will be presented at 12:30 and 3:40.
