The Disney Race Dilemma – What’s a Gal to Wear
For me, seeing all the people dressed up as Disney Characters and princesses is one of the things that makes a Disney race so much fun. You see everything from full on full length costumes, to athletic wear with a tiara. Not everyone dresses up but I think its part of the fun.In the 2011 race I dressed as Snow White, well just a yellow skirt, blue shirt and red had with a bow and tiara. In 2012 Princess race I dressed as Mulan....well just a red sparkle skirt over my pink … [Read More...]

The next race I currently have paid for is the 2013 Princess Half Marathon in February. This week, I started my official training plan. I have completed 4 half marathons in my life, a fact I still can't quite grasp some days, and the one thing I know for certain, for me to finish, I need to train seriously.I am no expert but here is how I do it:1. MUSICAL Monday….Preschool Pop
One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain. - Bob MarleyWhen it comes to running while you have your purist who scoff at the thought of putting on headphones to run to, there are those of us who swear by the power of a good song to motivate.I LOVE a good play list when I am running - whether outside or on the treadmill, the right tune can totally elevate and motivate me. Peachtree Road Race Report
This summer has been so weird weather wise, the week before the world's largest 10K here in the ATL we had the hottest temperatures ever recorded. I approached the race with caution as I had not been training - not smart, but my shin splints had been killing me so I gave it some recovery time. I went into the race with the goal to take it very easy and do my 30/30 intervals of running and walking for the first 1/2 then take it from there with lots of walking.Got up early and parked at the … [Read More...]
