OK, I got some pounds to lose. I am not sick, though my tendons are inflamed from my Plantar Faciitis. I am not nearly dead as far as I know….
I watched a documentary last week called Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead. It was very motivating and inspiring. Its about a guy from down under who is …..you guessed it. He is overweight and has an autoimmune disorder. Based on research of the micronutrients and macronutrients in fruits and vegetables, he decides to do a juice fast to try to cleanse all the junk out of his body…… drinking only juice he makes himself from yeah, fruits and veggies.
It is a very entertaining look as his journey and how he inspires others.
My eating has been not the best – I am for sure not eating the recommended 6 fruits and veggies a day and have been thinking of doing a fast or cleanse to flush the junk out of my body and get back on the road to eating what my body needs. With my families heart history – mom and brother died in early 50’s of heart attacks, I need to be healthy to be around for my daughter.
While I am not going to do a 60 day juice fast like Joe in the movie, we are pricing juicers. At the very least I think a juice for breakfast or lunch would be so beneficial to my body!
The film is available on Netflix on demand if you are interested. In the mean time, my running break from last week is OVER. I am at it again this week- I need 3 runs that is it and will be doing some yoga as well. Its all about balance!
