DisBroad Patty and I were chatting with my 2013 Princess Half roomie Wendy about stuff you MUST do at Magic Kingdom and we both agreed – EAT.AT.BE.OUR.GUEST!
For dinner, this has become the hottest ticket around because its new, its an incredibly cool setting and yeah it is the only place you can enjoy Wine with your Table Service meal INSIDE Magic Kingdom- controversial for some Disney purists.
On our last RWFR family trip to the world we were NOT able to get reservations for dinner so we decided to do wait in line for lunch “counter service” type menu. Dinner counts as Table Service.
The restaurant is located in NEW Fantasyland underneath the Beast’s Castle. Cross a bridge with gargoyles to get in and be transformed into the world of the Beast’s castle. Its popular – so be prepared to wait in line – its worth the wait. We went about an hour before lunch service closing to try to avoid crowds as much as possible. A sign told us the wait time was 60 minutes. I asked a Cast Member if it was indeed 60 minutes they told me yes. I had done my research and heard from others – when the line reaches the end of the bridge its about a 20-30 minute wait…..we were inside the doors in 20 minutes, and ordering in 25. It seemed to move fast and we looked over the menu while we waited. I guess the staff at Walt Disney World does NOT want to disappoint to they oversestimated the wait time.

Once inside the doors, we went down a hallway with enchanted Armor. Attention to detail in recreating the Beast’s castle was amazing. We reached the Kiosk to order our food, its a touch screen, and were given….. a plastic rose which basically tracks you and your order. YOU order on a touch screen and pay and scan your rose on that. Voila, your order is in.

We decided to just try one of each of the sandwiches between the 4 of us – 3 adults and one child. For us it was plenty, even more than enough!
Carved Turkey Sandwich : Served warm on a Baguette with Dijon Mayonnaise and Pommes Frites. This was SOOOO yummy if you like turkey sandwiches. Carved not pressed deli meat.
Croque Monsieur – Grilled Sandwich of Carved Ham, Gruyere Cheese, and Béchamel with Pommes Frites. Good but HEAVY and rich. Reminded me of sandwich from France in Epcot.
Grilled Steak Sandwich with Garlic Butter Spread and Pommes Frites. Very filling and quite tasty.
You are in France, Pommes Frites are French Fries!
We were all loving all the details as we went to find our table.

Remember that plastic rose? Its like a homing device for waitstaff…they know which room and which table to bring your food too based on your rose! While waiting as instructed by the staff, we helped ourselves to our drinks……YES serve yourself Fountain, ahhh refills, AND we got our silverware and napkins. Lunch at Be Our Guest is served on REAL china dishes too, nice touch.
All were good, very good – in fact better than most Counter Meals I have had at Walt Disney World- the turkey sandwich was my favorite. It was very relaxing to be in the castle out of the sun and hustle and bustle of the parks enjoying a fine lunch. We all LOVED IT!

I would LOVE to check out Be Our Guest for dinner sometime, but if I can’t get a reservation, I am more than happy to wait in line for this Enchanting Experience!
Check it out on your next visit. Wendy tried it, they told her the wait was 1 hour 15 minutes, 30 minutes later she was ordering…and her family loved it too!

I had dinner there PHM weekend! It was so good. I would like to try it for lunch, but that probably wont be for awhile. I definitely plan to do dinner again whenever I go back.
REALLY Hoping to make dinner, but nice to know lunch is worth the wait!

Went for lunch with my mom after PHM this year. Loved it! Went right after we showered. Booked it over there to wait in line first thing as soon as we got to the park. Wished they had the grey stuff for lunch! Side note- get a FP to little mermaid while waiting in line. Worked out perfectly for us. Went right over after lunch. Loved the decor in the restaurant. Loved the steak sandwich. Loved the strawberry cupcake.
That steak sandwich was REALLY good too. All the sandwiches were! Nice tip about FastPass….I do believe we were holding onto some Splash Mountain FP while we ate! We always have one in our pocket!
We have been by a good few times since it’s soft opening but were always told the wait was 60+mins as well, next time we’ll know better!
Oh we are NOT fans of waiting in a line, but even Mr RwFR the most impatient of all said it was worth the wait and will be added on all future trips. They had us at free refills LOL.
