Sunday Funnies…..Brought to you by the letter S.

September 15, 2013 by Julie @RunWalkRepeat

What is so funny?  Shirts and Spiders.

S is for SHIRTS

I was in Target yesterday and saw this shirt in the girls section and it made me chuckle.

Just wanted to give a shout out to my friends and followers….thanks for making me laugh!  Oh and thanks for putting up with my Cray Cray.  In the big box of crayons that is my life, I am so blessed to have been given the BIG colorful box – not just the 8 pack. Love y’all!

AND   S is for SPIDERS….

OK, Mr. RWFR didn’t think this was funny, but I laughed and laughed. This month after the wettest year, we have had no rain. Mr. RWFR decided to water our parched lawn. Normally, he is good about checking for bugs before walking through the bushes to get to the spigot, but he put his face in this spider’s web. Kind of freaked him out…and I laughed.

DUDE that spider was about as big as my index finger. I don’t know what kind it was, but its bright Georgia Tech colors this wanna be a yellow jacket spider was hard to miss. Luckily Mr. RWFR is fine.

Can anyone name that spider?  Is it me or do you see a frightened Marge Simpson on this spider?

How has your weekend been?  Anything funny happen to you?

It’s called a writing spider, called that because of the cool webs it makes. We get 2-3 of them a year. They are harmless and eat lots of bad bugs. They like to surprise me in my garden.
However, to me, all spiders, esp ones that large, are signs of evil. It will eat your face. I suggest killing it and burning your house down.

It was rather huge. Had a big web. The thing is the mosquitos have been so bad, I just have been leaving the webs alone. I saw the web yesterday morning and though…man that is one bad spider…then Andy put his face in it.

I can’t lie, that shirt made me laugh out loud! Clearly I have the humor of a ten-year-old.

We have one of those in our bushes and I’ve seen one in the neighbor’s flowerbed. I think it’s called an orb spider because of the web it spins? Anyhow, I think this is kind of their “season”. I don’t mind them until I walk into a web; then I FREAK OUT.
