Road trip to South Carolina!! Oh yes this post is from my phone – I am mobile y’all. We shopped for some necessities and came across Cheerwine the legendary Carolina soft drink.
I am from the home of Coca Cola and well we never really traveled to the Carolinas when I was a child. Believe it or not, this southern gal has never had Cheerwine. In our house a guest was always asked “Would you like a Coke?” A yes would get “What kind, we have Coke, Tab, Ginger ale, ….” You get the drift.
I decided to try the diet variety, available for us calorie counters. I chose to purchase a 2 liter for only $1.69.
Served over ice in a glass I found it bubbly and sweet; though not too sweet. It has a cherry flavor and is kind of red colored but it’s super tasty and refreshing. Its not like the doctor or mister drink, nor is it fanta-ish. It has a fab cherry cola flavor all of its own. I am taking some home for the holidays when I need some cheer and not- so -much wine and to share with the fam. Have you tried Cheerwine? Any regional drinks in your neck of the woods I need to try when up your way?

Yes, I would love a Coke…what kind? A Dr. Pepper! (I know exactly what you are talking about!) This sounds delicious, I’ve never heard of it. I haven’t been drinking cokes lately but if the opportunity arose, I would definitely taste this!
