This just in regarding My MagicBand and Fastpass + at Walt Disney resorts from my friend Jennifer Green with Destinations in Florida Travel:

For this test on December 18 2013, non-resort guests will not be able to make FastPass+ reservations ahead of time, or using My Disney Experience. Mirroring the functionality provided by FASTPASS, offsite guests will need to visit a FastPass+ kiosk to make the reservations on the day they visit. MagicBands will not be available for non-resort guests. Instead, they will use their RFID enabled ticket media to access the FastPass+ kiosks and touch sensors.
As someone who sometimes stays offsite during visits, hey we need the space sometimes, this has me sad. When you are used to the old system and know how to work it to get the most ride for your ticket dollar, change is scary.
I would love to hear from a guest of a non Disney resort during this time how the kiosk lines and experience went.
What do you think, does this scare you?

Nooo! Not unless we’re given the option to get FP+ for multiple parks!
