January 31, 2014 by Julie @RunWalkRepeat

LIVE off the runDisney website, here’s a sneak peak at the Official Maps for the Princess Half Marathon Weekend’s Royal 5k, Enchanted 10k and Princess Half Marathon.  FYI, these are the same courses used Marathon Weekend at Walt Disney World in January.

5k and 10k Courses:

What fun courses! I’m not a runner, but I have to say it would probably be a lot of fun to go running through a Disney park!

Hot dang! Looking at this course map I am getting so excited! I found knowing in advance that the first 3 miles would be essentially highway allowed me to get a mental groove going before the excitement of the park. I can’t wait!

Getting excited! As far as the half goes, what part of it feels like the longest stretch? Miles 9-11 seem like they might be a bit boring, no?

Yeah…. but they got stuff to look at..and that fun hill at mile 10 with Sarge…to keep things interesting. The last mile at Epcot to me is the WORST LOL…I love it but am like…are we done yet…thank goodness for the choir!

I hate complaining because I LOVE runDisney races, but I’m a little bummed that they are the same courses as marathon weekend. The 10k course during Dopey was a struggle for those first 3 miles that were outside of Epcot. However, I will have new bling and my best friend running with me, so that is an improvement! 😉

Maybe they will plus the magic this race LOL. I am good with 3 boring miles to get me to the fun in the parks….hopefull from what I heard it will be improved, but you are so right about the bling!

I never really was interested in a Disney race but after reading so many blog posts about the amazing experiences, I am really considering one in the future. Have fun!

They are SO much fun and the racers, cast members and characters really make it magical. LOVE them.
