Dinosaur Train GIVEAWAY….Its National Children’s Dental Month!

February 12, 2014 by Julie @RunWalkRepeat

Disclosure: I was provided a Dinosaur Train DVD, Tooth Brush Set, and Book for review at no cost to me.  All opinions stated are my own.

ALL ABOARD!  We gonna ride……. the Dinosaur Train.

February is National Children’s Dental Health Month – and February 14th is Valentine’s Day.  BUDDY and his friends from the PBS KIDS series Dinosaur Train would like to help you celebrate both!!

Each February, the American Dental Association (ADA) sponsors National Children’s Dental Health Month to raise awareness about the importance of oral health. Developing good habits at an early age and scheduling regular dental visits helps children get a good start on a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums.  This year’s theme is “Join the Super Smile Team.”

Click here to download your very own Dinosaur Train Teeth Tips Poster from PBS Kids!

The Jim Henson Company has teamed up with Sunstar Americas, Random House Children’s Books and PBS Distribution giving kids of all ages more reasons to smile.  I have a  Dinosaur Train GUM® twin pack toothbrush set, the Little Golden Book “Buddy’s Teeth”, and the new DVD Dinosaur Train: I Love Dinosaurs to giveaway to one reader.

Mini Me was so excited to see all three of the these items.  We are HUGE PBS Kids fans such great quality entertainment  – and I love all things Jim Henson’s companies create.

We love Buddy and the Dinosaurs – of course Shiny  being Mini Me’s favorite.  My girl immediately wanted to brush her teeth when she saw the new toothbrushes. She loved seeing Buddy and Shiny even pointed out “Look Mama, they have the things on the bottom that you can stand them on the counter” – we love those suction cups. So our princess toothbrush has been replaced.

Buddy’s Teeth, a Little Golden Book from Random House Children’s Books retells an episode of the series in which Buddy experiences something all kids go through—losing a tooth! Mini Me grabbed the book and went to the sofa and sat and read it to herself. I asked how she liked it and she gave me a thumbs up.  While the suggested age is 2-5, my first grader enjoyed it too. She has some loose teeth herself right now too.

We enjoyed watching the all-new Dinosaur Train: I Love Dinosaurs DVD from PBS Distribution. Its features four adventures and two Be My Valentine Cards! Mini Me enjoyed all the episodes, but her favorite was King Meets Crystal. King is an Elvis like Dino who wants to become friends with Crystal, but gets nervous when trying to talk to her.  Tiny and Buddy are there to help him overcome his nervouseness…..great lesson for my shy daughter.  This show is so much fun! I love the message of family fun and friendships.  Great lessons for kids and I enjoy watching along.

Do you have a Dinosaur Train fan in your house?  Want your own Dinosaur Train Toothbrushes, Book and DVD?   Just enter the Rafflecopter below.  Open to US Residents 18 and over.  One winner selected will receive the prize pack and will have 48 hours to respond to email notification confirming shipping address.   The Jim Henson Company will ship Prize pack to winner. Good luck!
