runDisney Princess Race Expo Merchandise: The “I Did It Shirt”

February 12, 2014 by Julie @RunWalkRepeat

Front of the 2013 I Did It Shirt
One of my FAVORITE rituals of the Princess Half Weekend is buying the “I DID IT” shirt at the Fit For a Princess Expo in the runDisney Merchandise booth.   Sure its a jinx MAYBE that I might not finish, but so far, so good and well if I don’t finish, there is always Ebay.  See this way, I am guaranteed a shirt if they run out at the booth after the race.

One of the things I love the MOST about it…the course map on the back a la  Hidden Mickey rocks.  I have bought shirts at all 3 past races, and the back is pretty much the same.

Here are the shirts for the past 3 years, note, the 2013 purple shirt was purchased at the Disney Outlets, and was a different color that what was available at the expo (the pink above) and for a lot cheaper.  I bought the 2013 shirt at the expo, but a friend offered to buy and ship the purple shirt from the outlets…for SO much  cheaper so I had to have it.

Honestly, I was disappointed that the shirts for 2012 and 2013 were pretty much the same shirt, especially at the price….yet I bought it. I do go up a size from my normal shirt size as they do shrink.  And if you are a gambler, the past few runDisney races they have had some race merchandise available on the Disney Store site after the race. Throw in a discount code and its quite the deal- sometimes they even show up at the outlets.

What runDisney race merchandise are you looking most forward to?

I’m a sucker for the merch; I definitely plan to buy one of these shirts!

I actually like the 2013 purple one better than the hot pink! I’m a redhead, so the pink one seriously clashes with my hair. Didn’t stop me from buying it and I still wear it all the time…13.1 trumps fashion sense! 😉

I found my 2013 WDW half I did it shirt at the outlet! I bought the 2014 one online because I liked it better than the one at the expo (it was the same color as W&D and I needed something different). I always get the I did it shirts and can’t wait to one day make a tshirt blanket out of them!

I also buy these shirts and for both the Goofy and Dopey Challenge, I hid them in the bottom of a drawer out of sight and mind until I completed the races. It is a little intimidating to buy them ahead of time, but we would not have them otherwise, I can’t believe they were found at an outlet….sad! I hope there is a new design this year!

Yah, I was disappointed that it was the same design. I am guessing the purple was a mistake? Who knows…. I really loved the first year. I have a Wine and Dine shirt too!

Wait: you can buy the I did it shirts at the Disney Outlet??? I’ve never been to a Disney outlet so I won’t count on getting one there, but still, that’s pretty cool!
