Its time for some spring cleaning around these parts.  Have you seen my drawers?  They are a mess.  It had become quite apparent to me that I needed to do something.  My beloved race medals have been just heaped in a pile and hidden away.  Really, they deserve to be displayed as they are gorgeous and I worked HARD to earn them.  Plus, I needed my drawer for desk stuff.

I have been looking for an affordable option to display my medals in a cute and fun way, because my races are all about the fun.  Mr RWFR is super handy and could whip me up something,  BUT as much as he loves his shop and wood working, he has been too busy lately with other stuff.  RunnersWALL Medal Displays from Gone For A Run to the rescue!  Starting at $39.99, these customizable displays fit the bill.

RunnersWALL Displays are made from hand forged steel and come with a customizable printed wood insert. The insert is thick – really I was surprised at how much so.  Its also coated so shiny, easy to clean and should display well for years to come. The problem is, there are SO many inserts to choose from: inspirational quotes or mantras, races and tri events, personalized AND well just fun graphics!  The displays can hold up to 20 medals, so there is plenty of room to display your bling.  Really I had a very hard time picking.  Some of my favorites are below from the Gone For a Run Website.  The personalization is optional if you don’t want it you don’t have to have it.

I decided since the majority of my medals are from runDisney races, specifically the Princess Half, I would embrace my princess #DisneySide in my choice.  What better than a castle right?  I had mine customized with my Twitter handle @RunWalkFASTPASS and love how it turned out!  I especially love how this display reminds me of one of my Best Running Friends Amy aka Mom’s Magical Miles who has been with me every step of my racing journey!

I could NOT wait to see what it would look like with my medals so I put it on the floor and got out my seven runDisney race medals.  Fun times and great memories there and YES magical too!

The displays come with the hardware to attach to your wall.  It was easy – yes, I did it MYSELF.  I am handy that way you know.  Really it was SUPER easy, I didn’t even use a drill.

There is a side lever clip that easily slides open and you just slide your medal ribbons on the bar.  Run out of room?  They have an optional extension bar for purchase so you can add more bling to your display.

Just slide your bling ribbons on. Easy Peasy.

I LOVE how my display looks up on the wall.  I am so proud of each of my medals, sure I never won a race or place in my age division, but I do agree my bling is ALWAYS earned and never given.

There is some serious magic in these medals….some chafing, sweat and tears too!
