Atlas Snacks Granola Review

June 17, 2014 by Julie @RunWalkRepeat

Recently, we took a road trip.  When we travel, I am always looking for healthy snacks that are satisfying as I have a tendency to eat in the car when bored and when hungry grab whatever is fast and easy which usually, turns out to be not so healthy  Once again due to the power of social media, I came across a great find – Atlas Snacks followed me on Twitter!  I checked them out immediately and decided to try their no grain paleo granola for myself.  I don’t buy something from every company that follows @runwalkfastpass, but I am so glad I gave this a try.

 Atlas Granola OriginalAtlas Granola Cinnamon

I went 2 bags, 1 Cinnamon and 1 Original.  We were headed on a road trip  and decided they would make a GREAT snack for Disney Vacation.  I always like having a little something on the healthier and satisfying side to put in my purse or backpack to snack on and this looked pretty good.

Nutrition Info For Original Granola

I can attest this mixture is truly HIGHLY ADDICTIVE.  I added the Original into some plain greek yogurt one day for breakfast and it was good as was eating as cereal with some almond milk, but my favorite way of eating this delightful mixture of natures goodness is straight from the bag.    It is indeed #GranolaCrack, I was so satisfied with it, a couple days I did not purchase any snacks at the park…..seriously, I was so happy in my mouth with the taste and satisfied in my belly, I forgot to get a Dole Whip!

You know the web site Atlas Snacks claims that customers say “Holy Smokes this is the best Granola I have ever had……”…um YES.IT.IS. Well for me anyhoo.  It moist and tender and the perfect mix of sweet.  Sweetened with honey which the liver CAN metabolize unlike sugars that end up as fat – hooray for less a chance of belly fat..trust me young readers..this is  GOOD thing.

I just ordered some more with one bag earmarked for my husband’s desk at work, though this is my current snack bag view….hey I got some watersocks and am running in the pool at adult swim. Earning my treat!

While I was NOT provided a fee bag for review, I did get a slight discount.   I just reordered and paid about $36.00 for 3 bags including shipping.  Considering what you are getting – and that the fake stuff is left out, not a bad price at all at around $1.00 per serving.  I have started experimenting with fueling before my runs with some of this #GranolaCrack.   I would love to incorporate it into my long runs as I ramp back on my mileage.
