Mini me is in LOVE with Big Hero Six and she wants her own personal Baymax….I mean who doesn’t? I had an idea for some EASY cookies and asked her if she wanted to make some Baymax cookies. Of course she said YES.
While I would love to get out the Kitchen-aid and whip up some home made goodness of butter cookies, we just didn’t have time yesterday. I picked up these at the store and let me tell you, they are yummy if you like pumpkin. Really you can pick any flavor, this is what Mini Me picked out as she loves the flavors of fall.
I put the cookies in the oven to bake…um hello, that took no time.
After we got them out, I had purchased some frosting in the tub, yes, I know, I can make it healthier myself, but you know, this was last minute and super easy. I also purchased a small tube of decorator gel.
I showed Mini Me how to ice one cookie along with decorating with the gel. She did all the rest.
Not bad for a second grader!
I know not exactly winning any decorating contests, but the best part was we spend a few quality moments together decorating. We talked about Baymax and how he cared for people…its a very positive and moving movie, take your tissues. Plus my daughter was able to decorate all easily and was happy with her cookies. They tasted good too.
Its hard being a mom: we look at Pinterest and feel like complete failures compared to others. Hey, its ok, we all have talents somewhere. Most days after school we are lucky to get in evertyhing we need done, let alone decorate some treats. If you have a Big Hero Six fan, here’s an easy way to bring the loving care of Baymax to your home.

Julie, these look awesome just the way they are. Plus your daughter will never remember the precise quality of the decorations, she’ll just remember the time spent with you:)
Baking is one of the ways I still spend time with my teenage son so it’s a good thing to get them started young.

Thanks Tracy. I COULD have whipped up some homemade stuff, but we needed something fun to do after a rough week at school…. Pillsbury to the rescue LOL. My daughter does love to cook, and was thrilled to put the buttons of cookie dough on the tray just right. We love Baymax too!
