New Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Resort – First Look

Confession time, my dream is to stay at Walt Disney World’s Polynesian Resort. The location near the Magic Kingdom for monorail riding and fireworks viewing, the resort ambiance, the size of accommodations and the history of being one of the original Walt Disney World resorts add to the charm for me.  “The Poly” as its known by Disney aficionados has been going a massive overhaul including adding new Disney Vacation Club Villas and Bungalows.  My friends at Destinations In Florida Travel shared this video with me – here is a first look at the new bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Resort.

YES its over the water, can’t get better views of Wishes Fireworks than that. Did you notice not only does it have a sofa bed, there is a fold down bed too! Nice job! These Villas can sleep up to 8!

These villas and bungalows have been added to resort accommodation choices as a part of Disney’s Vacation Club (DVC), but will be available to rent by resort guests when not in use by DVC Members. I will be honest, I don’t see them being available, Disney Vacation Club members will be all over these I am sure!

Did you know when you visit Walt Disney World Resort you can stop by any DVC booth in any park and set up a tour of ALL the DVC rooms on Walt Disney Resort Property – and around the world? While I have not been on a tour, we were offered and almost went. They take you from the park to the sales location where they have a room from EACH of the DVC properties set up so you can see the size and decor of each location. You do the tour and hear the sales presentation while they keep kids occupied with ice cream. OK, we were promised ice cream, I can’t confirm they offer that to you. Hey I know, timeshare is NOT for everyone, but if you are interested, do the tour next time at Walt Disney World!
