What are you doing about it?

August 6, 2011 by Julie @RunWalkRepeat

A question I have been asking myself lately about my health, weight and happiness.

Quite frankly, the past 2 weeks not enough….however I have been SO enjoying the last weeks of summer hanging out with my preschool daughter.  Precious times!  I will say last week it was too hot for the pool a couple days.  So we have been just hanging inside.

But back to topic.  Long term goal of the half in February gets closer every day.  Not my first so I know what I am in for, and I need to get ready.  Short term, got a 5k next month.

TODAY……. I am focusing on my stretching.  I am going to get back into a regular routine as my legs are a little tight.  Calves, hamstrings, anke and arch.  No heel pain though – I did wear sandals yesterday which are not as supportive as my sneakers.  My right leg is also a little tight, so better get on it.

Happy Weekend!

I always have to be registered for races to keep me motivated. I run Disney races for the fun of it, and don’t worry about time as much. I’m running the same half that was my first one last year again this November. I’m planning to take vengeance on that course. I enjoyed the experience since it was my first, but I did it while suffering with IT band problems so I know I can do better.

I’ve totally been enjoying summer this past week. It was the last week before school starts, and it was too hot to do anything outside. I caught up on my favorite TV shows, I think the hot summer laziness is universal.

Welcome!
