Cheerios to a Better Breakfast

You know the most important meal of the day is breakfast right? Yeah, me too. But somehow in my life it seems like I can find myself at lunch thinking, “I never ate anything this morning” at which point I am starving and if out I tend to lately make bad choices. I notice the times I am NOT eating breakfast, I gain weight. Want a better breakfast. How about starting going back to the basics with Cheerios and 100% Florida Orange Juice.

A healthy breakfast gets the metabolism kick started and gives me energy to get through my morning, whether I have a run scheduled or just running around doing my errands. I am lazy in the morning and don’t like to fix a big meal, yet its important, so I am always looking for the quick fix to fuel my day. Studies show people who regularly eat a breakfast are more likely to maintain healthy body weight. Kids need breakfast – studies show that children who eat a healthy breakfast perform better than those who do not.

The folk at General Mills have made it easy for me to make sure Mini Me gets her day started off right!  With Cheerios and 100% Florida Orange Juice, I can quickly make a smoothie or even have her prepare her own cereal. She feels like she is doing something incredible making her own breakfast too!

While you may think, um Cheerios that is what I gave my toddler not to choke, actually Cheerios’ wholesome goodness is made from whole-grain oats and without artificial flavors or colors. It is low in fat and cholesterol free. And these wholesome little “o’s” have only one gram of sugar per serving!  Its a heart healthy food which is GREAT for me.
